Central Highlands Rural Health is a Victorian State Government owned not-for-profit organisation that manages the nursing Home, which is situated in the rural township of Daylesford.
A home of 30 beds, we have recently built and furbished rooms for permanent and respite care. We offer single rooms with private ensuites, single rooms with a shared ensuite and shared rooms with a shared ensuite.
Single rooms with private ensuites and single rooms with shared ensuites are both 9 square metres in size and the shared rooms with a shared ensuite are 16.5 square metres.
All rooms are in excellent condition and have garden or street views. Beds and bedside lockers are supplied and ensuites have built-in cupboards and wardrobes. There are also connections for personal telephones and TV’s available.
The home is co-located with Daylesford Health and includes 24-hour nursing and medical cover. There are no restrictions on visiting hours and car parking is free. Daylesford Health has the Rainbow Tick accreditation.
Common areas description
There are multipurpose lounges and dining areas differing in sizes suitable for a small private gathering or a large get-together with family and friends. The main living and dining area has a gas log fire and communal stereo, TV/DVD player.
There is an active lifestyle program and residents are encouraged and supported to maintain their social links with their friends, family and community.

Daily Accommodation Payment calculation: Accommodation Payment x Current Maximum Permissible Interest Rate (8.43% – effective 1 July 2026 – 30 September 2026) divided by 365 days.
The amount you pay towards the costs of your room depends on your on your income and means assessment. If you pay a refundable accommodation deposit or a refundable accommodation contribution, they may be subject to retention. Any daily accommodation payment you make may also be subject to indexation. Explanation of payment options
Residents can choose to pay for their accommodation by a refundable deposit, a daily payment, or a combination of both. A refundable deposit is paid as a lump sum amount. A daily payment accrues daily and is paid periodically, for example monthly. A combination payment includes both a partial lump sum and daily payments.

Support for your daily living
