Our purpose is to provide Best Care for every person, every time.

Central Highlands Rural Health Best Care Quality Framework helps us to ensure a positive patient experience by:

Defining our purpose in terms of what is important to those we care for and their families.

Best Care is care and service that is Personal, Safe, Connected and Right.

Personal: sees the consumer as a respected partner and treats them with empathy and compassion ~ CHRH OUTCOME: We provide care and services focused on consumers’ needs and preferences.

Safe: causes no physical or psychological harm ~ CHRH OUTCOME: We provide physically and emotionally safe care.

Connected: makes sure everyone is on the same page about the care, gives consistent messages about what’s going on, ensures people are connected to the services they need ~ CHRH OUTCOME: We facilitate a smooth, integrated care experience that meets consumers’ needs

Right: care and services (including non-clinical services) are based on the best available evidence and implemented to get the best possible outcome ~ CHRH OUTCOME: We provide the right care in the right way for the best possible results

Our People:

  • Act with respect
  • Be responsive, kind, caring
  • Act with integrity and be accountable
  • Commit to learning and reflection

Best Care Big Ticks

Central Highlands Rural Health’s Best Care Big Tick is a monthly recognition scheme for staff who have gone above and beyond to deliver Best Care to our patients, residents, clients, families or their colleagues.

Community nominations are encouraged for staff who have gone above and beyond and delivered care that is aligned to our Best Care goals or organisational values.

If you would like to nominate a member of staff for a Best Care Big Tick, download the Best Care Big Tick Nomination Form and send it to reception.kyneton@chrh.org.au (please note this email address is correct for nominations for all locations).
