Central Highlands Rural Health is a member of the Victorian Network of Smokefree Health Services. Smoking is not allowed on any Central Highlands Rural Health property, complying with Victorian law prohibiting smoking within four metres of an entry.
Electronic Nicotine Delivery System (e-cigarettes) or similar non-tobacco vaporising devices may not be used anywhere on Central Highlands Rural Health property. Central Highlands Rural Health is committed to supporting our consumers in giving up smoking. In-patients in the Kyneton, Creswick and Daylesford hospitals who smoke will be provided assistance to stop smoking or manage their smoking during their stay with the use of Nicotine Replacement Therapy.
There is no cost to the consumer for this service. Consumers who are attending for surgery and smoke may like to speak with their surgeon about quitting smoking before surgery.
