Our Urgent Care Centres in Daylesford and Kyneton are here for you 24/7.  In a life-threatening emergency, please call 000.

Visitor information

Visitor information

Families and carers are welcome to visit their loved ones in hospital or one of our Residential Aged Care facilities to provide essential care and support.
For the safety and wellbeing of other patients, residents, the community, and staff, we ask that people do not visit if they have COVID-19, are a household contact with someone with COVID-19, or are displaying symptoms such as a runny nose, sore throat, and headache.

Before entering one of our Aged Care facilities:

·      All visitors over 18 must complete and provide a negative Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) result and wear an N95 mask. RATs,
instructions, and masks are available at the hospital entrance.

·       All visitors must complete an “attestation” or declaration via a QR code or paper log.

·       Negative RAT results must be presented to Reception or the Nurse in Charge.

       Aged Care visiting hours:

There are no restrictions on visiting hours although visitors should limit their movement around
the facility.

Hospital visiting hours UPDATED 16 March 2023:

·       Visiting hours have returned to normal 10am-8pm.

Before entering the hospital, visitors will be required to don a surgical mask and complete a declaration form.

·       Patients are allowed a maximum of two visitors per person at any
one time. There is no limit on the number of visitors during visiting hours.

·       Maximum of 1 hour.

·       Visitors must stay in the patient’s room and limit movement around
the hospital.

      Exemptions

·      Palliative and compassionate visits remain exempt from the Visiting Hours and limits. Please discuss arrangements with staff.

If you would like more information, please get in touch with the Nurse in Charge at the facility.

In line with the Victorian Government’s ongoing response to COVID-19, visitor restrictions remain in place at all Central Highlands Rural Health campuses. For more information please visit our campus pages listed below or call the relevant campus and ask to speak to the nurse in charge.
