Social Support is a chance for older people with varying abilities and their unpaid carers to get out and be with others living in the community. Social Support is available to those:
• 65 years or older (50 years or older for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people), or
• 50 years or older (45 years or older for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) and on a low income, homeless, or at risk of being homeless.
Social Support promotes participation in social activities with others. It includes activities at centres and outings that help people to stay independent.
