Vic Kids Eat Well

Vic Kids Eat Well supports schools, outside school hours care, sports clubs, and a wide range of community organisations to offer healthier food and drink options.

Vic Kids Eat Well is aligned with the Achievement Program. It helps organisations take simple steps towards meeting the Achievement Program Healthy Eating/Healthy Eating and Oral Health benchmarks, Healthy Choices Guidelines, and School Canteen and Other Food Services Policy.

Vic Kids Eat Well is supported by the Victorian Government and is delivered by Cancer Council Victoria’s Achievement Program, in partnership with Nutrition Australia’s Healthy Eating Advisory Service.

Central Highlands Rural Health is the ‘local health promoter’ supporting the implementation of Vic Kids Eat Well.

We work alongside these settings to guide them through small, achievable steps – like swapping sugary drinks for water, offering healthier snacks, adding more fruit and veggies, and promoting nutritious food in fun, engaging ways.

Our role is to provide on-the-ground support, practical tools, and tailored advice to help make the healthy choice the easy choice for kids in our community.
