Mental Health Accredited Social Work provide short-term evidenced based mental health interventions to assist people experiencing mild to moderate mental health conditions.
Services are free of charge to clients who have an authorised Mental Health Treatment Plan from their GP, and are low income earners (evidence of a health care card or pension card may be required).
Each client is entitled to up to 10 individual visits per year. All referrals via the Central Highlands Rural Health Access Worker and must have a Mental Health Treatment Plan to access free service.
A range of general Social Work and Welfare services are available at all Hepburn Shire, Community Health and Wellbeing Centres. They aim to provide short-term support and where appropriate make referrals to specialist providers such housing agencies, financial counselling, etc. Services are available to all ages and are free of charge. Referrals can be made directly to Central Highlands Rural Health Access Worker on 5321 6539. Self-referrals are welcome.
