Kyneton Health moved to a level 1 maternity service in October 2019.
As a Level 1 service, our staff cannot support labour and birth in Kyneton, but we can manage and care for you whilst we arrange referral and transfer to an appropriate level of care.
We are able to offer or help you access the following services under our level 1 categorisation:
• Victorian Infant Hearing Screen Program
• Lactation consultant
• Physiotherapist
• Childbirth Education
• Domiciliary home care
Our Urgent Care Centre can help pregnant women access care that is appropriate for their circumstances. Our nurses will assess, triage and transfer patients depending upon their needs.
Since moving to a level 1 maternity service late last year, the midwives at Kyneton Health have re-established the domiciliary home care service in the Macedon Ranges and beyond, visiting mothers and babies at home in the first days following discharge from hospital.
