Intrauterine Devices (IUDs)

Our Women’s Health Clinic offers expert care and support for women considering an Intrauterine Device (IUD) as a form of contraception or treatment for specific health concerns.

IUDs are safe, effective, and long-acting devices that are placed in the uterus to prevent pregnancy. Depending on the type, they can last between 5 and 10 years. IUDs can be a good choice for women who want a reliable, low-maintenance method of contraception or who experience heavy or painful periods. They are also sometimes recommended as part of treatment for conditions like endometriosis.

Our experienced GP provides full IUD services — from initial consultation to insertion, follow-up care and removal when needed. We offer both hormonal and non-hormonal options, depending on your individual needs and preferences.

We take the time to discuss all aspects of IUD use, including how it works, potential side effects, and what to expect during and after the procedure. Our goal is to ensure you feel informed, confident and supported in your decision.

Appointments are available without a referral. To book an appointment, please contact our Women’s Health Clinic directly.
