The Achievement Program is creating healthy places for work, learning and living by providing health and wellbeing programs, wellness resources and wellness frameworks withing early learning settings, schools and workplaces. The Achievement Program is supported by the Victorian Government and the vision is for every Victorian to be healthy, well and participate – at work, at school or in early childhood care.
Central Highlands Rural Health is working with local early learning settings and schools to rollout the program and provide support with policy development and the delivery of programs such as Smiles 4 Miles and healthy lunchbox sessions to kindergartens and Puberty Education to grade 5/6 primary school students. During the rollout of the program, Daylesford Primary School reviewed their Healthy Eating and Oral Health policy and has since adopted a healthy canteen choices menu.
