Nursing in the Community Week: 14 - 20 September 2020

Published September 17, 2020

Nursing in the Community Week aims to raise awareness of how nurses support their community to stay safe at home, and how these nurses impact on the wellbeing of individuals in local communities.

Our team of dedicated nurses offer care and services to help you stay at home for as long as possible.

We offer district nursing which includes general assessments, medication monitoring, diabetes education & support, continence/stoma education & care and wound care. Oncology clients are supported with care of central catheters and chemotherapy disconnects. Specialist community palliative care is also provided for anyone with a life limiting illness, supporting both the client and their carer. We also provide Hospital in the home in partnership with a hospital as an alternative to an inpatient stay.

This Nursing in the Community Week, we want to celebrate and thank all our community nurses across the Hepburn Shire and Macedon Ranges who get on the road supporting people of all ages in our community.

For more information about our services, visit In Home Services.
