Daylesford is set to open a Respiratory Clinic to test for Covid-19 from Monday 25th May.
Local teachers will be able to access the clinic on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd for asymptomatic testing before the clinic is open to the general public.
Teachers can begin to book into the clinic from Wednesday 20th May. This service is open to all teachers in the Hepburn region in preparation for return to school from Tuesday 26th May. The new Victorian School Staff Coronavirus (COVID-19) Testing Scheme provides all Victorian school staff with access to testing for coronavirus (COVID-19) even if you are not experiencing any symptoms. This initiative is available for all Victorian school staff in Hepburn Shire between 21 May to 26 May 2020, and is voluntary.
Public can register for a booking from Friday 22nd May with appointments starting from Monday 25th May. Public access is for people experiencing symptoms such as cough, fever or sore throat. Other symptoms include chills, shortness of breath, runny nose and loss of the sense of smell. In certain circumstances headache, muscle soreness, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea may also be considered.
If you are symptomatic, until your test results are known it is very important that you self-isolate and monitor your symptoms.
