Creswick's Bob Orr OAM shortlisted for national fundraising award

Published December 11, 2023

The Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA) has shortlisted our very own local legend, Bob Orr, in the category of Fundraising Champion of the Year 2024 for their upcoming Excellence in Fundraising Awards.

Bob is an incredible leader within the Creswick community in many areas.  In 2023, he accepted the challenge of raising $150k for his local health service which he achieved with the assistance of the Creswick Health Upgrade Appeal Committee.

The FIA Awards for Excellence in Fundraising recognise the outstanding initiatives and innovative efforts of Australia’s fundraisers and organisations. The Fundraising Champion of the Year award acknowledges the importance and highly-valued contribution of ‘non-traditional’ fundraising advocates and supporters within an organisation.

We are thrilled that Bob has been acknowledged for his incredible contribution to rural health care!

The winner will be announced at the Fundraisers’ Gala Awards Dinner on Thursday 29 February at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
