CHARITY GOLF DAY TEES OFF FOR DAYLESFORD HEALTH

Published March 6, 2023
The Harry & Peggy Maddicks Golf Day on Friday 14 April will raise much-needed funds for medical equipment and facility upgrades at Daylesford Health.
The 18-hole ambrose event will be hosted at the beautiful Hepburn Springs Golf Club, featuring best dressed, nearest pin, longest drive and straightest drive competitions. Player registrations open on Tuesday 7 March, so dust off your clubs and sign up for a great day out via www.chrh.org.au/daylesford-health-golf-day
Central Highlands Rural Health’s Deputy CEO, Phil Catterson invited the Daylesford community rally behind this fundraiser.
“The Daylesford community have dug deep and donated each time their hospital has needed major upgrades, and we’re asking them to rally again,” Phil said.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Maddicks family and their estate executor, Tim Byrne, for their ongoing commitment to the future of rural health care.”
The Maddicks family estate has been supporting the Daylesford Hospital since 1999 thanks to executor Tim Byrne, who is sponsoring the event in their honour, bringing the total giving to an incredible $278,000.
“The Daylesford hospital meant so much to generations of the Maddicks family,” Tim said.
“Harry and Peggy wanted to continue giving to the community after their passing. They knew how important it is to support country hospitals so locals can get the care they need close to home.”
Daylesford Health has services that support people who need urgent care, hospital care, residential aged care, in-home care and community health services.
Major sponsors of the charity golf day are Community Bank Daylesford District and Belle Property Daylesford. The event is also sponsored by Stylerite Windows & Doors, Professional Mowing Group, the Boomerang Holiday Ranch, Airport Shuttlebus Ballarat & Bendigo Airport Bus Service and Christinelewis.belledaylesford. The Grande Hotel, Daylesford Hardware &Timber and Kate Sellars-Jones Designs are also supporting the event with gifts.
If you’d like to become a sponsor or donate to the fundraiser, please get in touch with Kathryn Kosloff, Fundraising Manager, on (03) 5321 6555 or via giving@chrh.org.au
