BAREFOOT BOWLS "FUN"DRAISER FOR NEW THEATRE EQUIPMENT AT DAYLESFORD HEALTH

Published October 10, 2024
Daylesford Health are inviting the community to an enjoyable community event to raise funds for the new operating theatre and acute wards. The rural health service needs community donations to help to purchase vital equipment, including an emergency response trolley, to enhance the care provided to locals and visitors. The Barefoot Bowls Fundraiser is open to all-abilities for a 2 bowl, 4 player team event on Sunday 10 November at the Daylesford Bowling Club.
Meagan Harding, Daylesford Health’s Director of Nursing, said,
“We’d love the Daylesford and district community to join us for a fun afternoon of barefoot bowls to raise funds for much-needed equipment for our new operating theatre and acute ward. Our first priority is an emergency response trolley that will be utilised to provide life-saving care to patients. We are also in need of lifting equipment that will assist patients and residents to move from sitting to standing positions safely. Money raised from the generosity of local businesses and residents will have an incredible impact on patient care.
I’d like to thank Mitch Duncan from the Farmers Arms Hotel Daylesford for his generosity and genuine care for the Daylesford community. I’d also like to acknowledge Neil Jordan and the Daylesford Bowling Club for their support and assistance hosting the event along with current sponsors and donors:
- Stylerite Windows & Doors
- Adaptive Housing
- Daylesford Cider Company
- Sault Restaurant Daylesford
- Springs Medical
