VOUCHERS FOR VUNERABLE CLIENTS PROVIDE MUCH-NEEDED RELIEF

Published November 29, 2023

When it comes to locals supporting locals, The Daylesford Foundation walks the talk!  They are a charity who believe that all lives are equal and no-one should be disadvantaged.  In 2023, over $5,000 in vouchers for basic necessities have been donated to Daylesford Health due to the hard-working volunteers at the Foundation and the generous donors that support them.

Jim Foster, The Daylesford Foundation, said:

“The Daylesford Foundation provides support for those who cannot afford the basic essentials and are unable to access existing charitable or government aid.

For the foundation, CHRH is a trusted partner helping us to reach those people and delivering emergency funding and thereby investing in the wellbeing of our community.”

Daylesford Health’s, Michelle Cox and Natasha, met with Jim Foster from The Daylesford Foundation to thank them for their ongoing contribution of vouchers that are distributed to vulnerable clients throughout the year.

Michelle Cox, Mental Wellbeing Manager, said:

“Many families and individuals receive assistance from Daylesford Health’s Mental Wellbeing team in a variety of ways, including through our emergency relief fund kindly donated by The Daylesford Foundation.  The vouchers provided make a huge difference to vulnerable people in this community.  We are seeing high numbers of people are struggling at the moment which has put an increased demand on our services, this donation provides a welcome relief for those that are needing it.”

Although Central Highlands Rural Health does receive government funding, donations and gifts enable us to provide additional resources for our clients, patients and residents, expand our programs and services, build new infrastructure and purchase the latest medical equipment that would otherwise not be possible.

There are many different ways that you can support Central Highlands Rural Health in delivering care to your community.  To discuss how you could make an impact on the health and wellbeing of your community, please visit www.chrh.org.au/donate or contact our Fundraising Manager, Kathryn Kosloff, on (03) 5321 6555 or email giving@chrh.org.au
